Richard Vranch

As well as improvising comedy in The Comedy Store Players, Richard performs as a stand-up comic and actor. He does not do music. He is also one of Stephen Frost's Impro Allstars and Paul Merton's Impro Chums.
Richard formed a double-act with Tony Slattery in 1981 and he was the male member of cabaret group The Millies. He performed in sketch shows with the English Teaching Theatre from Mexico to the West Bank.
Richard's voice can be heard on adverts and documentaries, and he's written plays, animations and films. He has a PhD in Physics and he presented the popular science series Beat That Einstein on Channel 4. He has an Erdos-Bacon-Sabbath number of 9.
Richard appeared on The Weakest Link Doctors' Special (BBC1) and You Bet (ITV) and he played Bernie Bermuda in the live BBC2 sitcom Hello Mum. He improvised stories with Sylvester McCoy on Jackanory and he was the narrator of the 2021 Channel 5 series "Alex Polizzi - My Hotel Nightmare." He has appeared on BBC Radio 4's Just a Minute and The Infinite Monkey Cage and he contributed to the spring 2023 series of the The Skewer.
