Just read in todays's newspaper, Tony Slattery is joining the cast of Coronation Street as a bookie who plays the love interest of Danny Baldwin's ex.

| Oooh, interesting. But which ex of Danny...?
|
Adrianne

| His first wife, Carol.
Tony's character will employ Carol Baldwin to work in the betting shop that was previously managed by bigamist Peter Barlow. In there, Tony who will woo her and start dating her.

| Ah, cheers. Corrie's gone a bit off lately, but this might be fun.

| Tony thanks everyone for their good wishes. He was recording Corrie last week and is going to be doing more this week. He's also doing 'Celebrity Stars in their Eyes' this week and I'll be off to Manchester with him for that,I'm so excited. I won't give away the secret of who he is going to be but I will say that he will be GREAT. No bias there then? Seriously though, it will show just what a wonderful singing voice he has. Not sure when it will go out so, Watch This Space!

| It is guess-o-Tony time!
Spandau Ballet? Through the Barricades.
(Lu is betting on Justin Timberlake)

Robbie

| I'm guessing Gary Numan.
Is it contractual obligation for any Corrie actor to do Stars In Their Eyes?

| All wrong so far I'm afraid. I'm not sure that you'll be able to guess anyway, his choice is quite unusual. The original plan was for him to be Dr. from Dr. and the Medics but he knocked that on the head quite quickly. Any more guesses? This could be fun.
Tony's birthday is a week on Wednesday, 9th November and I'm ready with a huge birthday hug.

| Just a coincidence, Robbie. He signed up months ago, long before he went up for Corrie.

Robbie

| The Medics from Dr and the Medics? That would be unusual...

Willow

| Maybe 'unusual' was the wrong choice of word. Tony is going to be someone you wouldn't immediately think of.

I have to say, I thought the same as Johnathon with Frankie goes to Hollywood. It would probably suit his voice.

| Hi Everyone,
Just got back from Manchester after an amazing 2 days. I had a brilliant time at the recording of 'Stars in Their Eyes' and as it doesn't go out until March I really can't keep you all guessing for that long can I, unless I wanted to be really mean of course, but I'm not like that. So I have to tell you that "Tonight Cat, Tony Slattery is going to be..........
Paul Heaton from The Housemartins, singing 'Caravan of Love'. Told you that you'd never guess.
HE WAS TRULY WONDERFUL, I was so proud to be there supporting him.I won't tell you how he got on though, you'll have to wait and watch the show to find out. See I can be mean when I want to, sorry. :-)
