Well, anybody got any thoughts on the latest 'hoce-
mayutts" (that's my attempt at a Geordie voiceover?
Pretty "eclectic" selection, everything from a 44-
year-old ex-asylum seeker through a screamingly
camp, bald law student to a scary "Millie Tant"
lesbian and a Portuguese transsexual (except I
don't think they've worked this out yet).
Tonight they are going to have to do a challenge to
win back their suitcases - only somebody's going to
lose and be stuck in the clothes they walked in in
for the duration. If this turns out to be Jason, who
entered the house in little more than a leopardskin
posing pouch and bow tie, things could be
interesting!

| I think they are much more interesting than last year's bunch! Some really obnoxious people in there - but they are obnoxious in the "They're young, they have issues, they'll probably learn from this" kind of way.
What was with the experts though? That psychic medium, where did they dig him up from? He doesn't look anything like your average medium, they've obviously gone for the oddest one they could find.
My favourite line came from the sheep-rearing blonde who said "I just feel that you need someone in the house who's just thoroughly nice."
As for my favourite housemates so far - I quite like the 'enigma' man and the archery blonde girl. The sheep-girl, Ms Portuguese and the "people seem to fink I'm funny" girl seem OK.
I'll probably miss most of it - but I expect I'll be watching it if I'm in & it's on. :o)

| P.S. - There is speculation on the Digital Spy forum that Kitten is an Endamol plant. They think that the fuss she made before going into the house was staged.
I remember being surprised to see that she was interviewed with her girlfriend there. With so much competition, you'd think that they wouldn't have much patience with anyone dragging a companion into their interview, unless that was her gimmick of course.
Here's where I discover that only myself, Mr Honest (and I presume, Buffy!) were actually watching it! ;o)

| Boring crap for me I'm afraid.
I enjoyed the first series in a kind-of "This is new" way, but it's become increasingly more desperate and seems only to appeal to the lowest common denominator these days.
Every year I tell myself I'll get into it this time and relive the fun of the first, and every year I tune out after the first show.
The whole thing with the girlfriend stank of staging, from Davina's "I wonder if she'll make a fuss when she realises she can't see her girlfriend" it was pretty obvious.
As for the guy in a thong, just later on the live broadcast he mentioned it was a setup from the studio, probably hoping he'd fail the suitcase task.
At least in the first series the contestants were fairly well-rounded individuals (with the possible exception of loopy Sada).
Still, at least the last Friends was good. Although I'd already seen it about 100 times.

Watched it, really wish I hadn't. Could not decide which of the new housemates annoyed me more tbh...and don't think I'll be watching too much of it this year.
The only hope of any sort of interest it has to hold is the whole "Big Brother turns evil" thing - if only they mean it...
Come back Cameron Stout, I say.
(although Distracted was rather amusing after the first show - Anoushka and Jon being shot at - pure value entertainment!)

| loved series one and two.. three and four died as far as I'm concerned... but that's because Endemol/Channel 4 were trying too hard to MAKE things happen.. I suppose I'm quite happy to just chill and see things going on .. I hated the bars they had was that last year or the year before? ahh whatever...

Well...it has to be said Big Brother appears to be keeping to it's word, and IMO is proving more interesting that I thought it would be (although still got a houseful of irritating people!)
Could be fun when the girls are released from the bedsit later :)
Was hoping to not see too much of it, but as they've replaced "Everybody Loves Raymond" with BBLB every morning, I had no choice!
(what do you mean by "there's an off button on the TV"?)

| have just worked the last 3 nights and had the late night live big brother on in the children's area (which is closed at night) had to keep going in and checking what was happening on Sunday night with Vanessa and Jason. Should be interesting watching the girl's go back in... even though Michelle will have me cringing with her pursuit of her Chicken!!!

Wed 16 June 16:03:16
| I've only really been able to catch Big Brother's Little Brother & occasionally check Digital Spy at lunchtime for the latest on what's going on in the house.
That makes it a little tricky to form my own views on what is going on - but still, Vanessa & Dan up for eviction?! Personally I'd rather see Marco or Jason go.
Michelle and Emma scare me!

Agree with you there, Nightingale. Jason "God's gift to women...or not as the case may be" and Marco "just too camp" are both far more irritating that V or Dan...actually, quite like Dan.
However I have gained a strange fondness of Michelle and Emma since they've been locked away...just a shame they didn't get to choose the punishments themselves!
Mind you, Michelle does strike me as a bit of a bunny-boiler...

| I'm in full agreement with FA about Michelle being a bit of a bunny boiler - did you see her face when Shell was giving 'Chicken' a face massage... Someone's in trouble when she gets back into the house.

"She's not Michelle, I'm Michelle...she's Shell. She's trying to be Michelle, when I'm Michelle."
Shocking to discover there was more than one person in the world to be called Michelle really... ;)

soon?

| I really don't see how possibly Jason and definitely Victor can remain in the house... Jason shouldn't have risen to being wound up and Victor is far too aggressive and has apparently been making threats about doing things outside of the house.

| This thread was the first I heard about it! Just sneaked a quick glance at the pages. Roll on lunch-time when I can read up on what happened properly!
I'm guessing they'll have cut transmission of anything that would actually show us what happened though, so it's all going to be hearsay when it comes to deciding who was out of line.

 Thur 17 June 12:45:59
| As someone sad enough to be watching it live on channel4 at 2 in the morning i can inform all interested that they did cut transmission as soon as it got violent and shouty. We were treated to endless stills of the garden and the taps and other fascinating things.
Definately watching it tonight though!
